27 years old Saudi gentleman not known to have any chronic illness presented to our ER on Tues 9th Dec 2008 @ 14:15 PM complaining of abdominal pain and distension with repeated vomiting for 1 day. More>

Ruptured Mesenteric Cyst 

9 year old Saudi male was admitted on 25/9/2008 after being received from peripheral hospital as a case of internal hemorrhage post fall down from bed 2 days before referral. There was no systemic manifestations or chronic illness but he had obvious abdominal distension, guarding with positive rebound tenderness More>

Severe Necrotizing Pancreatitis

70 year old Saudi male admitted  with history of right upper quadrant and epigastric pain, associated with nausea and vomiting. Laboratory results and radiology findings revealed findings diagnostic of acute necrotizing pancreatitis with cyst formation. More>

This is a presentation of a survey carried out by Pediatrics department in the winter of 2008-2009 season with a review of evidence based literature to come out with a proposal for a suggested protocol for management or such condition. Wilms' Tumor Presented as Chronic Constipation

3 year old Saudi male presented to ER by his parents complaining of abdominal pain, constipation for one week. This was associated with weight loss and rapid breathing and hypertension. Examination revealed right hypochondrial mass 8X9 cm. More>

1 Year Old Child with Kawasaki Disease

1 Year Saudi baby presented with high fever for 2 weeks and 10 days of vomiting and diarrhea. She had skin rash for one week ahead of presentation. Examination revealed fingers desquamation and echocardiography revealed aneurismal dilatation in coronary arteries. the baby proved to have Kawasaki disease. More>       

 

 

Neonatal Jaundice Revealed to be Biliary Atresia

30 day old baby presented with Yellowish skin discoloration since 1 week age with vomiting for 2 days prior to presentation. Stool was pale for the last 2 weeks. Clinical examination was normal for age except for mild hepatosplenomegally. Lab results came normal but Tc-HIDA hepatobiliary scintigraphy disclosed the mystery. More>

39 year old Saudi female with known primary infertility for last 15 years was treated by induction of ovulation and I.U.I that proved successful and pregnancy test came positive after 10 days. This precious pregnancy was in danger due to a full blown HELLP syndrome after 27 weeks of gestation!!! More>
