Child Day Care Centre (CDCC)
is one of the essential services provided for Hospital staff. It
receives their kids from birth and till school age to provide both
day care and basic educational services. Its work hours extends from
7:30 till 5:30 Saturday to Wednesday. The staff in charge for the
centre are well qualified with a professional teacher acting as
director for the centre.
Infant section is
dedicated for kids below one year and is located in a well prepared
apartment in building F in the housing compound. In this section,
special policies are followed to make such small kids safe and away
from sources of infection and disturbance by older kids. Staff
nurses are in charge for this section and working as part timers
that provides extra healthcare required for this age.
Children between 3 & 4
years receive oral teaching with nursing rhymes both in English and
Arabic with special session for arts and crafts. After age of 4
years the child receives formal teaching in kindergarten 1 and 2 by
professional teachers both in English and Arabic with active Islamic
education by a well qualified teacher.
The kids have a good
chance to enjoy their time in computer room and library continuously
supplied by up to date educational books and software. Also, they
have the chance to go for trips arranged by CDCC administration for
the kids and their mothers outside the hospital compound to enjoy
their time in open air. A regular progress report is sent for kid's
parents to follow their performance
Throughout the year,
parents enjoy seeing their kids in regular parties in which they
show their skills and progress in different disciplines. Summer
Cinema is arranged and shows kid's movies on a big wall screen that
entertains them so much. By the end of the year each kid receives
certificate with gifts to encourage them and improve their
attachment to the place
